T raining Osculati is attentive to the ever-changing business environment and the corresponding need to maintain a dynamic and efficient organisation. T h e C omp any is committed to investing in and promoting initiatives aimed at developing, improving and incentivising the performance of Osculati’s employees, in the firm belief that the continuous updating of skills and professional growth is a strategic investment. That said, in implementing its training p l ans , th e company has the twofold objective of updating both the specific technical skills required by the various tasks of its employees, and fulfilling the training obligations provided for by national and local sector regulations. W ith th is in mind , eac h y ear th e H u man R esou rc es d ep artment as s es s es d is tinc t training need s together with departmental managers and employees in the context of their annual evaluation sessions and, after conducting an internal survey to collect individual employee preferences, a final report is presented to area managers for final approval13. Once the training subject areas have been identified the following are carried out by the Human Resources Department: • s ervic e s up p l iers are c ontac ted and eval uated in terms of the quality of service offered, the s c h ed ul ing of d el ivery and th e c os ts ; • a training c al end ar is d raw n up ; • training c l as s es are organis ed b y s ub j ec t area and all staff involved are notified of the start of th e training p l an. During the training courses, partecipants progress and sentiment are constantly monitored using requests for feedback. At the end of each course, each employee receives a satisfaction questionnaire in which he or she gives and overall evaluation grade for the course, the topics covered and the lecturer, while adding any comments on possible areas that can be improved. For some training courses, more specifically those of a specific technical nature, there are initial tests to gauge the knowledge of employees, assign them to the correct class and give them a target to achieve at the end of the training. The main topics covered in these courses concern the updating of specific technical skills, including languages, IT and AEO certification management. 58
