Powered by electric linear actuators or proven worm drive cables, designs exist to allow straight vertical drops or more complex pop in and slide systems. Typical panel sizes are between 2 and 3.5m. Working with the builder Lewmar’s team will maximise opening size whilst minimising the visual intrusion of any framing. A typical installation would see the glass dropping to below deck level to allow uninterrupted panoramic views. As an additional benefit these large openings allow easy airflow which can reduce the requirement for running air conditioning systems.
